Tomato sauce for pizza
Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

6 tbsp olive oil
2 lb tomatoes, peeled and chopped
10 fresh basil leaves
salt
freshly ground black pepper

To make sauce, heat oil in a saucepan over moderate heat, add tomatoes and basil and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes or until sauce thickens. Remove basil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
